I love this pub. Great beer, good food, a varying menu and a jolly landlord. Even the waiting staff are fun to chat with. There is ample room to drink in true pub style with two open fires, and a separate dining room which is tastefully decorated with an original low oak beamed ceiling and good sized wine glasses to show off the wine list's nose.
There are not many pubs that can do this - please the beer lovers and please the foodies. That's why I am there every fortnight or so, even though I live 15 miles away surrounded by country pubs!
If you can get to see the owner's black labrador, he is a fine specimen!
